Brad currently is VP Marketing for Universal Music Group Nashville overseeing general marketing strategies, International, film/TV, and strategic brand partnerships. Universal Music Group Nashville is home to artists including Alan Jackson, Darius Rucker, Eric Church, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley, Kip Moore, Sam Hunt, Chris Stapleton, Maddie & Tae, Jon Pardi, Lauren Alaina, Easton Corbin, Billy Currington, Dan Tyminski, Josh Turner, Kassi Ashton, Jordan Davis, Brandon Lay, Travis Denning, The Shires, and Luke Bryan.
Before heading to UMG, Turcotte was head of International for the Big Machine Label Group in 75 countries, in affiliation with UMG INTL Turcotte traveled over 600,000 miles supporting the roster, specifically Taylor Swift’s multi-platinum albums 1989, Red, Speak Now and Speak Now World Tour Live, and managing label efforts for the ex-US dates of Taylor’s world tours. Roster also included Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Florida Georgia Line, Reba, Nashville TV Soundtrack, Thomas Rhett, & more.
Prior to BMLG, Turcotte was EVP at Music World, former mgmt for Beyonce and Destiny’s Child. MW’s label included co-ventures with Columbia, Epic, Interscope, Zomba, and IDJ. Turcotte oversaw all label operations. Turcotte was an integral part of the music marketing efforts for Beyonce’s fashion line, Dereon, and MWE’s toy company, MW Kids, distributed by Wal-Mart.
Turcotte joined MW after selling his record label, Compadre, to Mathew Knowles in 2007. Turcotte started Compadre in 2001 as a law student in Houston. Compadre released 30 albums in five years by Hayes Carll, Billy Joe Shaver, Townes Van Zandt, Flaco Jimenez, James McMurtry, Johnny Cash (partial list).
Turcotte is a graduate of Belmont Univ and Houston School of Law and is a board member of the CMA and CCMA and member of the ACM, and a two-term Governor and voting member for the NARAS Texas Chapter.
